Communication is at the heart of the human experience. Yet communicating effectively is not easy. Whether it’s one on one with someone important or a large presentation in front of countless shareholders, it takes practice and training to learn how to communicate effectively.

Abundance Coaching is proud to provide communication training to Sydney professionals – training that can help you in your personal and your business life.

The Challenges of Communication

Communication training is focused on teaching you how to connect with other people. We explore the challenges that are associated with talking to others and try to address them. Challenges including:

  • Nervousness – Do you find it hard to speak in public? You are absolutely not alone. Public speaking is incredibly difficult – even when you’re talking to just one person. We work on how to be more confident in your words and speak to any size group.
  • Word Choice – There are words that we use as habit that can damage us in conversation. For example, the words “always” or “never.” We focus on crucial conversation techniques that are effective for reducing defensiveness and promoting change.
  • Connecting – We will train you on how to connect with different personalities. How to listen, respond, and make sure that you’re clear with your words. Connecting with others is an important part of corporate communication in Sydney, and we’ll show you how to do it effectively.

While communication training and corporate training in Abundance Coaching primarily focus on the corporate world, it is also good to work with individuals who are looking to communicate more effectively. The lessons you learn from finding out how to talk to others confidently and clearly are universal, and can help you make amazing changes in your life.

OBSTACLES

Here are some questions which can help you diagnose what is keeping you from making progress towards your dream. Write your answers to each question in the space provided.

TIP: You have to be aware of your obstacles and look at them with your motivation and passion in view. The world is full of choices and opportunities for you. To have possibility thinking you must adopt this belief on a deep level. Possibility thinking will provide fuel for you to move through any problem area in your life, to rise above challenges, and to remain optimistic and determined.
COMMITMENTS

Here are some questions which can help you determine what you are dedicated to now and in the future, and how devoted you are.

LEGACY/PURPOSE

It’s all about legacy. At the end of the day the “WHY” thing has to do with legacy: leaving a legacy and living in a way that is worthwhile. Answer the questions in your workbook about legacy/purpose.

TIP: Live with your legacy in mind. Your legacy is not just something you give away when you die. To have a legacy factor you are living your legacy, knowing that you are contributing, stepping into your greatness and being a person of high impact while you are alive.

THE WHY WORTH LIVING: HOMEWORK

Now that you have figured out what your legacy is, tie it all together. Look at your motivation, your passion, your obstacles, your commitments and your legacy/purpose. You have all the framework in front of you. Take time to review your answers to the questions in this workbook. The moment you don’t set the standard for your life (your attitude – your actions etc.) is the moment someone else or society is setting the standard for your life.

Write a snapshot statement in the space below after you tie these things together which help you identify what your “why” is. The statement can be three to six sentences.

Important! Tie each point of your W together to help identify your WHY. Start with your legacy, before moving back to the first point of your W. Legacy often has an attachment to something that is more than you are, that is bigger than what you are. There is a spiritual aspect that is deeply ingrained as part of your core. It is what your Creator has given to you. Then look at your notes commitments and write a statement about what you are committed to. Include obstacles in your path that you identify and will positively move through. Then move on to consider your passions and what drives you and lastly break down your motivations.

Remember the order of writing your ‘Why Worth Living’ – Legacy / Purpose, Commitments, Obstacles, Passions, Motivation. My Why Worth Living is:
